JOB DISCRIBITON and week1

Hi everyone,

So I have started my internship and this is what the job discription was. I work mon 2-5 tues 2-5 and fri 1-5 total of ten hours a  week unless I come in ealrier to fill in hours!

Position: Graphic Design Intern
Hours: 25 flexible hours total in the semester

Job Description: Work in a non-profit organization, to assist with developing 140th anniversary promotional materials as well as the Y Annual Report.

• Work with Y staff to create print pieces ( fliers and postcards)
• Assist in website maintenance
• Assist with video shooting and editing
• Photo archiving
• Assist with the design of the Y Annual Report

Me and my LOVE for graphic design!

I know everyone is going to say this is NOT INTERESTING. I thought I would share my love about graphic design and what it has done to me. Well, long story short I cut my finger with an exactoknife preparing some design pieces I created to turn in for the ART GALLERY at Parkland. As I was on the ground cutting the foam board I just kept on going along with my finger. I didn't feel at first but then I saw a look blood (thank god it didn't get on my work) and I rushed to the hospital. I cut so deep that I went through my nail around my finger and got 6 stitches without of course stitching my nail. If you woundering if I cried because I am smiling in the picture that was before 3 doctors holding me down while they are stitching my finger up. PS I couldnt do anything for a week.
